24 Hours of Prayer

St. James Cathedral, Downtown Brooklyn, will host an all-night vigil of prayer and penance on March 4 and 5. A part of the Year of Mercy celebrations, the program includes extended confession times, eucharistic adoration and the closing Mass will be the rescheduled Pro-Vita Mass on March 5 at 5 p.m.

 

Youth Concert in Elmhurst

St. Bartholomew Church, Elmhurst, is hosting a concert on March 5, 3 p.m. in the chapel. Young people are raising funds for the parish youth going to World Youth Day. Music ministries participating include: Centinelas del Señor and Hno. Johnny Helena.

 

Christ is Risen Art Contest

The deadline for this year’s competition will be March 18 at 5 p.m. Students in grades one to 12 who reside or study in Brooklyn and Queens may send art work that reflects the theme: Christ is Risen. For details, click here.
