The Vicariate of Black Catholic Concerns Youth Leadership Ambassador Program held its eighth annual youth Lock-in/Stay Awake-A-Thon Friday, March 3 at St. Thomas Aquinas, Flatlands. According to parochial vicar, Father Dwayne Davis, more than 85 youth attended.

Students were able to challenge themselves to stay up all night and live their faith out loud with Holy Hour on Friday night, following a Midnight Mass with both Fr. Davis and Deacon Willy.

“I would recommend this for all young people, not just Catholics because there’s always fun and excitement when the youth of our generation gather and mingle amongst ourselves,” Rajae Clarke said in a statement gathered by Denay Hayes from St. Teresa of Avila, S.Ozone Park.
