Holy Cross H.S. knows boys. The school understands how they think, what motivates them, what concerns them and what they need to succeed in academics and in life.

Sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross, the Flushing school welcomes students every background.

The school is part of a 160-year tradition of quality Catholic education in the U.S. begun at the University of Notre Dame.

At Holy Cross H.S. students are free to discover and develop their own intellectual, religious, ethical, athletic, creative and leadership abilities, in smaller classes, under the guidance of teachers and mentors who specialize in educating adolescent boys.

The high school’s personalized approach ensures that no one falls through the cracks. Everybody knows each student’s name.

The school community believes that at the end of the day, it’s about how members have cared for one another that counts the most.

All courses at Holy Cross are college preparatory and all students graduate with a Regents Diploma.

The boys are placed in classes which seek to challenge them at a level of difficulty that commensurate with their abilities. The faculty and staff keep a keen eye on each student’s potential.

The school offers a wide range of innovative electives and various extracurricular activities, many implemented based on feedback from students themselves.

At Holy Cross H.S. it is not only the destination that counts, but making sure that the boys have plenty of opportunities around them to enjoy the journey while realizing their dreams and achieving their goals.

It is about family, brotherhood and making bonds that last a lifetime.
