Transfiguration Church will no longer offer weekday Masses and will only be open on a limited basis on weekends going forward, Bishop Robert Brennan announced in a recent letter to parishioners.

Faced with declining Mass attendance and rising repair costs, the Diocese of Brooklyn is considering closing Transfiguration Church in Maspeth, officials confirmed at a church town hall on March 20.
