Obituary: Sister Mary Aneta Gics, S.S.N.D.

Sister Mary Aneta Gics, S.S.N.D., a Catholic school educator who once taught at St. Matthias, Ridgewood, and ministered at Lutheran Medical Center, Sunset Park, died June 14. She had been a professed member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame for 66 years.

Msgr. Scharfenberger Installed As Territorial Vicar in Queens (with slideshow)

Msgr. Edward Scharfenberger, currently the pastor of St. Matthias parish, Ridgewood, was officially installed April 20 as the new episcopal vicar for Queens.
