Rocco Pisani is hitting home runs on and off the field.
Rocco Pisani celebrated his 11th birthday on Oct. 7 at Cohen Children’s Medical Center while receiving intense chemotherapy treatments. He was diagnosed with leukemia in May and has been going into the hospital every 10 days for three-day stays.
Strength prevailed on May 18 when students arrived at their school to walk in Xaverian’s first annual “Clippers Chasing Cures” cancer awareness walk, inspired by kids like them. Cancer-free and dressed in gold T-shirts, they stood alongside family and friends in blue who supported them through treatment after treatment.
At the Swish for Kids Classic, the men’s basketball teams from St. Francis College and the College of Mount St. Vincent put on a clinic for children battling cancer and those who have completed their treatment.
