Dan Venezia is not what you picture when you think of someone who could fall victim to coronavirus. He’s strong, in shape, and a former professional athlete, but none of that mattered when Venezia contracted coronavirus last month and was being wheeled into the emergency room, gasping for air.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Deacon George A. Bourbeau, a former deacon in the diocese, was celebrated Aug. 21 at Infant Jesus Church, Nashua, N.H. He died unexpectedly Aug. 16 at his residence in New Hampshire. He was 71.

Our Lady of Angels parish in Bay Ridge has set Sept. 24, 2091 as the date for the celebration of the 200th anniversary of its founding. On that day, the time capsule that was entombed last weekend in the wall of the church will be opened by parishioners to get a glimpse at what parish life was like in 2018.
