Dear Editor: Brenda Becker Walker (Aug. 20) says she is ashamed of letters that point out some factual realities that, despite her claims of being a journalist, she apparently blocks out of her mind without even-handed consideration.
letters to the editor
Today’s Catholic Witness
Dear Editor: It is agonizing to witness the failure of Catholic witness in our times. Barbara Bolton (Readers’ Forum, “The Choice for Life Is Clear,” Aug. 6) appears convinced that abortion is a trifling consideration in her contentions about the experience and preferable temperament of Hillary Clinton to her opponent, despite Clinton’s megalomaniacal criminally and temperamental mendacity.
Third Person Acclamation
Dear Editor: In response to Peter Farley’s question (July 16) as to what happened to The Mystery of Faith acclamation: “Christ Has Died, Christ Has Risen, Christ Will Come Again,” one simple reason why it is no longer used is because it is written grammatically in the third person.
One Nation Under God
Dear Editor: I guess I am among the ranks of elitists that George Weigel was describing in his column (June 25).
Teen’s Family Grateful
Dear Editor: I want to thank Maria-Pia Negro Chin for the great article “Queens Teen Has Heart Set on a Medical Career” (April 23) on Gregory Nelson.
Get Smart About Opioids
Dear Editor: In response to Joe Heller’s cartoon about opioids (April 23), kudos!

What a combination of bad taste and arrogance! Watching the GOP presidential debates […]
The Irish Know Genocide
Dear Editor: In response to George Weigel’s article (Feb. 20) “Isis, Genocide…” If one should ever go across the sea to Ireland and stand on the shore of Galway Bay, on a clear day one can see more than the sun going down. In the distance are the Aran Islands where the British imprisoned hundreds of priests prior to execution or transportation with thousands of other Catholics, to Australia or the brutal sugar cane plantations of Barbados.
Best Christmas Ever
Dear Editor: I am writing to you because I wanted to show my gratitude to God for giving me my best Christmas ever. It began on the nights of the 17th and 18th of December when I felt that my help was not needed anymore. The negative voice was trying to influence me and for […]
Act Against the Violence
Dear Editor: I commend The Tablet for its Dec. 12 editorial, “End the Violence.” Yes, we must pray, but as advocates, we also must act. Mass murder seems to occur in America every other week. Its frequency is frightening. Can anything be done? To quote from your editorial, “We recognize the Second Amendment right to […]
