The GCHSAA basketball season wrapped up with the diocesan, city and state championship games. The Mary Louis Academy, Msgr. McClancy and St. Joseph’s are big varsity winners.

Quentin Holmes, the senior center fielder on the Msgr. McClancy H.S., East Elmhurst, varsity baseball team, was named a first-team pre-season High School All-American by Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.
Brooklyn Tech Coach Is PSAL Hoops Pioneer
Brie McDonnell is the boys’ junior varsity basketball head coach at Brooklyn Technical H.S., Fort Greene. Now in her third season, she has built the program into one of the top teams in the Brooklyn II division of the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL).

Prep Celebrates Legacy of Longtime Hoops Coach
Tim Leary recently announced that this would be his final season coaching at the Prep. He is set to retire as the winningest coach in St. Francis Prep history as well as the active wins leader among Brooklyn/Queens CHSAA boys’ hoops coaches.
