CYO wrapped up its fourth annual summer basketball league. The league provides girls’ and boys’ basketball players from third through eighth grade the opportunity to keep their skills sharp in preparation for the winter season.

Several Catholic Youth Organization volleyball teams took the sport’s aspects of teamwork and camaraderie a step further by playing recently in the first-ever “Volley for a Cause” tournament.

New Class Enshrined Into CYO Hall of Fame
The fourth annual Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) Hall of Fame ceremony recognized 10 deserving individuals who have dedicated their lives to youth sports in the Diocese of Brooklyn.

The Catholic Youth Organization of Brooklyn and Queens hosted its annual girls’ volleyball diocesan championships May 13 at Msgr. McClancy H.S., East Elmhurst, and May 20 at St. Andrew Avellino, Flushing.
