To celebrate the impact of Catholic journalism, The Tablet sponsored a special Mass for journalists on Saturday, Sept. 23. The Mass was celebrated at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph in Prospect Heights by Bishop Robert Brennan, and Bishop Emeritus Nicholas DiMarzio, Msgr. Sean Ogle, and Father Christopher Heanue concelebrated.
JoAnn DiNapoli, director of sales at DeSales Media Group, is used to being constantly on the go. The ever-busy DiNapoli is now adding something new to her portfolio. She has been elected treasurer of the Catholic Media Association.
The Tablet, Nuestra Voz, and Currents News garnered 46 awards for standout print, video, and digital work at the 2022 Catholic Media Conference held earlier this month in Portland, Oregon.
Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, in his role as publisher of The Tablet, has been presented with the Catholic Media Association’s Bishop John England Award for his defense of First Amendment rights.
