Raven Pitt, a senior guard on the St. Joseph’s H.S., Downtown Brooklyn, girls’ varsity basketball team, signed her National Letter of Intent to continue her hoops career at Wagner College, Staten Island.

Anne Lonergan, a long-time Science teacher and boys and girls step dance coach at Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, died Nov. 17. She had retired in June.

Archbishop Molloy’s Walk To Remember

The seniors of Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, tied their sneakers one last time Oct. 27 for their annual student fundraiser, the Walkathon, but some embarked on a special tradition: an 11-mile walk to the World Trade Center. Together, the seniors didn’t just raise money for their school, but they made lasting memories in their final year of high school.

Anthony Iapoce, the hitting coach of the Texas Rangers, will be hosting the inaugural New York Baseball Coaches Clinic on Dec. 10, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Division Avenue H.S., Levittown, L.I.
