Save the date! The diocesan School of Evangelization is hosting a Young Adult Retreat, June 13, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Queen of All Saints, Fort Greene. The theme for the day is: “Serve the Lord Joyfully,” and the fee is $5 per person. And speaking of St. Luke, Whitestone, the parish is hosting an Evening of Dinner and Doo Wop on April 25 in the parish center. Williamsburg isn’t the only local hub for up-and-coming artists. Next weekend, head to Long Island City, where St. Mary’s Church is hosting a Children’s Art Show, featuring handmade creations by artists ranging in age from 3 to 17. This week’s Tip of the Tablet TALK Top Hat goes to the Msgr. Sherman Knights of Columbus Council No. 5103 for hosting a Good Friday blood drive at Sacred Heart Church, Glendale, in cooperation with the New York Hospital Queens Blood Center. Because of the Knights’ efforts, 84 pints of blood were collected.
