Who is your parish advocate for persons with disabilities? Parish advocates work to ensure that persons with all types of disabilities are included in the life of the Church. For anyone interested in becoming an advocate, Catholic Charities is offering a one-day training workshop at the diocesan offices at 310 Prospect Park West in Park Slope on Nov. 22. After more than 30 years, the Golden Age Club of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Greenpoint, has disbanded due to declining participation. As a parting gift, club members donated $500 to St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy – and for that, they have earned this week’s Tip of the Tablet TALK Top Hat. Principal Christina Cieloszczyk, along with faculty and students, will miss seeing their senior friends and are grateful for their support and generosity.
