tt_OLGuad_PrincipPrincipal For a Day in Bensonhurst

Principal Phoebe Midttveit has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it? The third-grader had the distinction of serving as co-principal of her elementary school, Our Lady of Guadalupe in Bensonhurst, last Wednesday, Oct. 8.
Midttveit joined full-time principal, Sister Dolores F. Crepeau, C.S.J., right, in welcoming students as they arrived, offering morning prayers, conducting the Pledge of Allegiance and making morning announcements. She visited classrooms with Sister Dolores, met with staff to learn how they help the school run, shared lunch with Sister Dolores and closed the day with prayer and dismissal.
Midttveit won the chance to be Principal for a Day at the Home School Association’s Back-to-School Bash last month. (Photo © Marian Skabeikis)
