Support and Prayers for NYPD After Tough Year

The 95th annual Communion-breakfast of the Brooklyn-Queens Holy Name Society of the NYPD was held Sunday, March 15 in Queens Village. Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio was the main celebrant of the Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. A parade of the Finest travelled down Springfield Blvd. to Antun’s for the breakfast, which honored Assistant Chief Diana L. Pizzuti as the Person of the Year. Twenty-eight officers, including fallen Detectives Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, were honored for heroic service. Five students, who will attend Catholic high schools, received scholarship awards.
