Stepping into a Society of Excellence

Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge, hosted its annual Induction Ceremony of the Brother Hilary Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS).

One hundred and fifty-one exceptional students from the senior, junior and sophomore classes were conferred membership to the society.

The ceremony began with a welcome address by Deacon Kevin McCormack, principal, and an opening prayer by faculty member, Deacon Bryan Amore. The NHS class representatives, senior Daniel Loud, junior Albert Connelly and sophomore Joseph Donahue, then participated in a candle lighting ceremony. Vincent P. Torti, director of advancement, served as the keynote speaker, and Roseann Guido was the faculty honoree. Music was provided throughout the evening by the talented members of MAX (Music at Xaverian).
