St. John’s Prep. Vs. Breast Cancer

The St. John’s Prep Student Council sponsored a Breast Cancer Research Theme Day. In lieu of wearing the school uniform, students in the Astoria school dressed down – especially in pink – in return for a donation to support cancer research. Cupcakes with pink icing were sold to support the cause and a contest was held to guess the number of pink candies in a jar. Over $1,100 was raised on the day to support cancer research.
