The St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, volleyball team was honored by the N.Y.C. Council on Wednesday, March 27 at City Hall in lower Manhattan on the occasion of their sixth CHSAA championship title and their third consecutive berth as a semifinalist in the New York state championships.

Speaker of the N.Y.C. Council, Christine Quinn, and Council Members Peter F. Vallone Jr. and David Weprin, extended a warm welcome to the Lady Terriers and congratulated them for the their achievements, both athletic and academic.

The Council Members also provided them with a private guided tour of the history, art and architecture of the historic building along with an insider’s view of the inner workings of the City Council. It was a proud moment for St. Francis Prep and a rich learning experience for your students.
