Prep’s Battaglia Honored by Alma Mater Rutgers

Marco Battaglia’s legacy at Rutgers University, Piscataway, N.J., is well known among the college football community. And now, that legacy will be on prominent display at the university’s newly renovated football complex.

Sister Virginia Walsh, R.S.M., 93, a Sister of Mercy of the Americas Mid-Atlantic Community for 76 years, died July 8 at her residence in Fresh Meadows.

Father Dominic Scotto, TOR, a native of Brooklyn, will be honored on the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood by his religious order – the Third Order Regular of St. Francis, Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus – in Loretto, Pa., on July 12.
