Students from the Theatre Club at St. Agnes Academic H.S., College Point, travelled somewhere over the rainbow during a two-day production of “The Wizard of Oz.” Student Ashley Eivers (right) who played Glinda the Good Witch of the North, is pictured with the Sisters of St. Dominic of Amityville, which is the congregation that founded the school in 1908.
The Dominican sisters travelled from their home base just to see the show! On their Twitter page, they said ‘this beautiful show reminds us that we have the power inside of us ALREADY to make our dreams come true.’
