STREAMing Forward with Values and Technology
Ss. Joachim and Anne School was established in 1924 in the tradition of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. It fosters intellectual and technological development in an environment of love, justice and peace.
This fall, each student from kindergarten through grade eight will have access to the school’s premier STREAM (science, technology, religion, engineering, math) lab. Made possible through an Embassy Grant, the lab will feature electric wiring beneath a granite tile floor, Chromebooks, a flat-screen TV, Smart Walls, science equipment, software, cooperative learning tables and many other technological resources.
Additional offerings include Pre-Kindergarten for All, Samsung tablets (grades seven and eight), Apple iPads (first and second grades), Regents classes for grade eight, SMART Boards, Title I, SETTS, ELL, Speech, Spanish (grades four to eight), Renowned Gospel Choir and before and after school.
Ss. Joachim and Anne incorporates the Catholic Common Core initiative, 21st-century learning through rigor, relevance, creativity and intensity. The school thrives on the following core values:
