Destiny Howell, a senior guard on the St. Francis Prep, Fresh Meadows, girls’ basketball team, has committed to continue her hoops career at Howard University in Washington, D.C. As a junior last season, the Tablet All-Star averaged 11.8 pts. and 7.5 rebounds per game.
The St. Joseph’s College Brooklyn, Clinton Hill, men’s soccer team earned its first-ever victory against their sibling rival St. Joseph’s College, Patchogue, L.I. The 4-2 winning effort was led by a second-half hat trick by senior Mohamed Ndiaye Jr.
