Sister Ruth Cunningham, C.S.J., a member of the Congregation of St. Joseph for 65 years, died on March 9 at Maria Regina Residence.
Sister Ruth entered the congregation in 1955 from the parish of St. Matthias, Queens. She earned a BS degree in Education from Brentwood College in 1963 and an MS degree in Education from Fordham University in 1989.

She is survived by her sister, Sister Catherine Cunningham, St. John of God Convent, Central Islip.
Her funeral Mass was offered on March 12 in the Sacred Heart Chapel, followed by her burial in Calvary Cemetery, Brentwood.
