Sister Mary Rosalita Judge, O.P., a member of the Dominican Sisters of Amityville for 76 years who grew up in Greenpoint and taught in the Diocese of Brooklyn, died on Oct. 18. She was 94.
Born Eleanor, she entered the novitiate in Amityville, L.I., in 1943 and professed her final vows in 1946. She earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, Jamaica, and a master’s degree from the College of St. Rose in Albany, N.Y.
Sister Mary Rosalita taught at Good Shepherd School in Brooklyn and at Dominican Commercial H.S. in Jamaica. From 1981-1993, she was appointed principal at St. Thomas Apostle School, Woodhaven.
Her funeral Mass was held Oct.26 in St. Albert Chapel at Queen of the Rosary Motherhouse in Amityville. Burial followed in the sisters’ cemetery.

I was part of the Graduating class of 1988 at St Thomas the Apostle. I remember the first time we spoke and how welcoming you made me feel. Many more wonderful memories I hold dear of you Sister Rosalita. ❤
