Sister M. Francine Connolly, I.H.M., a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary for 77 years, died Feb. 25 at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pa. She was 94.
Born in Manhattan as Anne Marie, she entered the IHM Congregation in 1941 and made her final profession of vows on Aug. 2, 1947.
In the Brooklyn Diocese, she taught at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School, Forest Hills, 1969-70. In the Rockville Centre Diocese, she taught at St. Raymond School, East Rockaway, 1975-88; and St. Mary Elementary School, Manhasset, L.I., 1989-2001.
She served as principal at St. Bernard Elementary School in Hastings, Pa., 1963-69; St. Mary Elementary School in Avoca, Pa., 1970-75; and St. Ann Elementary School in Nyack, 1988-89.
She is survived by a sister, Dolores Carlo of Wantagh, L.I.
Burial was at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Moscow, Pa.
