Sister Gladys Murphy, S.S.N.D. — a member of the School Sisters of Notre Dame for 65 years, who worked as a teacher and administrator in the Diocese of Brooklyn  — died May 13 at Lourdes Health Care Center, Wilton, Conn. She was 87.

She taught at the former St. Alphonsus, Clinton Hill, 1964-69. In 1983, she went to live at St. Patrick’s Convent, Long Island City, and was associate administrator at Most Precious Blood School, Astoria.

Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Villa Notre Dame in Wilton. Burial followed at St. Mary Cemetery in Bethel, Conn.
