Students from St. Saviour H.S., Park Slope, attended the annual Human Trafficking Conference for high school students at Poly Prep, Bay Ridge, last month. Sister Anne Lally, C.S.J., head of religious studies, and faculty member Sister Barbara Mackiewicz, C.S.J., were also in attendance. The student-run conference is dedicated to shedding light on the truths about human trafficking in New York City.
Approximately, 100 students from schools all over the city participated in various workshops throughout the day from different organizations such as Unicef and Ecpat. The conference offered students a unique and interactive experience to learn from those working in the field and from their own peers.
