Rosa Hernandez of Stanhope, N.J. died March 18 at home. She was 93.

Born in Victoria De Las Tunas, she was the parish organist at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Astoria, for the Italian and Spanish Masses between 1980 and 2011.

She worked for Merrill Lynch in Manhattan for many years before retiring at age 70.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Rosa Travieso. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael’s Church, Netcong, N.J. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover.
