Fresh air, exercise and good old-fashioned school spirit was enjoyed by students and faculty of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Academy, Forest Hills, when the school held its 11th annual fundraising Race for Education, May 26.
This year’s event was dedicated to raising funds to purchase more technological devices for student use in the classroom. Each student asked family, friends and neighbors to sponsor them as they walked or jogged multiple times around the school grounds with parents cheering them as they went. Students and teachers then enjoyed hot dogs and refreshments on Juno Street.
