PROSPECT HEIGHTS — The faint rays of light faded at sundown Saturday from the stained-glass windows at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph. But the darkness did not hold.

The Paschal candle, a symbol of Christ’s light in the world, was blessed and lit at the beginning of the Easter Vigil presided by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio. …
