The boys’ and girls’ Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) track teams from Our Lady of Lourdes, Queens Village, pulled off a sweep by each capturing their respective championships June 2 at St. Anthony’s H.S., South Huntington, L.I.

Competitors from four divisions (Novice, Bantam, Junior and Senior) competed in nine total events over the course of three weekends. Total scores were tallied each week and added up to arrive at the final scoring.

The Our Lady of Lourdes boys’ team finished with 241 total points, while the girls’ tallied a meet-high 248 points.

St. Margaret’s, Middle Village, and St. Kevin’s, Flushing, finished second and third in the boys’ meet with 106 and 104 points, respectively.

St. Margaret’s and St. Matthias, Ridgewood, scored 97 and 91 points, respectively, on the girls’ side to finish as runner-ups.
