Only in Print: Seven Local ‘Rising Stars’ Receive Scholarships

WINDSOR TERRACE — Seven local Catholic high school students are realizing their academic and athletic dreams, thanks to scholarships from the Rising Stars Youth Foundation. Rising Stars, established in the early 1980s, is a charitable program that builds character, promotes education, and reinforces important values through a unifying interest in basketball. Their goal is that every student who graduates from high school is college-ready and prepared to succeed in life.
