Sister Anne de Paul Toner, C.S.J., a member of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph, Brentwood, L.I., for 60 years, died in Our Lady of the Snows Convent, North Floral Park, Oct. 2.
She entered the congregation from St. Agnes parish, Carroll Gardens, in 1953. After attending Pace College, Manhattan, she began teaching the primary grades in Transfiguration, Williamsburg, 1955-62, and Our Lady of the Snows, 1962-2001.
She became extensively involved in Our Lady of the Snows’ parish liturgy committee as Family Mass coordinator and religious coordinator in the school.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of the Snows, Oct. 8. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery, Brentwood.
