Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million high school seniors who entered the 2017 competition by taking the 2016 Preliminary SAT/Nation Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Caroline Powell, a senior from The Mary Louis Academy (TMLA) has been named a Commended Student in the 2017 National Merit Scholarship Program.
In addition, TMLA seniors Maya Reyes and Vanessa Loo were named to the National Hispanic Recognition Program which recognizes the highest achieving Latino students on the PSAT nationwide.
