The annual Feast at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Williamsburg, in honor of the parish patron and St. Paolino di Nola completed its 12-day run on Sunday, July 19, with a third “dance” of the Giglio. Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio attended on July 16, the feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, and participated in a procession throughout the neighborhood’s streets. Msgr. Joseph Calise, pastor, thanked Carl Bonomo, chairman, and his committee for the feast’s success. Paul ‘Bo’ Pennolino was honored as the No. 1 Capo and Joey Aragona served as this year’s Turk. John Notaro was presented the Pastor’s Award for his dedication to the event. A special award was presented to the neighborhood’s two New York Fire Department houses for their service to the community.
