The month of Mary, May, was not overlooked at St. Saviour H.S., Park Slope. Students praised Mary through prayer, Scripture, poetry and reflection. During a school assembly, freshmen read aloud poems that they wrote in honor of Mary. Junior Stephanie Dirani also presented a reflection. During the service, Mary was crowned by sisters Joana Munoz, senior, and Janet Munoz, sophomore. Following the celebrations, the students brought the flowers they used in the festivities to patients at New York Methodist Hospital.
