The Mary Louis Academy, Jamaica Estates, junior varsity basketball team earned a 64-58 win over Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood, to take home the title in the GCHSAA Junior Varsity Division I Diocesan Championship.

Sophomore Jasmine Brunson led the way with a game-high 30 pts. for the Hilltoppers, while freshman Courtney McCool chipped in with 12 pts., seven rebounds, four assists and four steals.

Freshman Margarita Kilpatrick paced Molloy with 15 pts. and four rebounds.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Bishop Kearney H.S., Bensonhurst, junior varsity basketball team defeated Fontbonne Hall Academy, Bay Ridge, 40-32, in the GCHSAA Junior Varsity Division II Diocesan Championship.

Freshman Jessica Diaz led the Tigers with 12 pts., three assists and three steals, and freshman Gabriella Rafaniello added nine pts. and game-highs with 15 rebounds and three blocked shots.

For Fontbonne, freshman Erin Kennedy poured in a game-high 20 pts. with seven rebounds and five steals.
