Manhattan Forum Will Deal With Opposing Assisted Suicide

An Educational Evening on Opposing Assisted Suicide will be held at St. Thomas More Church, Upper East Side of Manhattan, on Tuesday, April 5, 7:30-9 p.m.

Assisted suicide continues to be in the forefront of issues being considered in the State Capitol at Albany. Some claim it is simply “medical assistance in dying” and not suicide.

But what is really at stake here? Are lethal pills the most that can be offered to those who find themselves suffering with a terminal illness? Learn the facts by looking at the legislation and all of its medical, legal and ethical implications.

Sponsored by the Family Life / Respect Life Office of the Archdiocese of New York, the main speaker will be Ed Mechmann, Esq. archdiocesan Public Policy Director, and Sister Lucy Marie, S.V., Respect Life coordinator.

To attend, RSVP required to Sr.Lucy.Marie@ArchNY.org.
