Dear Editor: I would like to reply to the statement in the Readers’ Forum (March 26) by E. Lopez: “That Donald Trump is not fit to be president, is a given.”

For the record, I am a Cruz supporter. Why is it that liberals always complain but never offer solutions? George Bush hasn’t been president for almost eight years. Under Obama, the country has the lowest growth rate in recent history. What, specifically, can be done to grow the economy at 5 percent instead of 1 percent?

For openers, both Trump and Cruz would repatriate $2+ trillion of after-tax profits that American companies keep overseas because Obama wants to tax them a second time at 40 percent to bring it home.

Both Trump and Cruz would reduce corporate taxes to encourage economic expansion which will create jobs.
