Virtue is a behavior showing high moral standards. I was taught to be a virtuous woman. Proverbs 31 was a chapter to remember and respect. But I’m a teenager and I want to have fun. At times, it seems as religion is hindering me from enjoyment and pleasure. I love God, but sometimes I don’t want to obey.
When I start to feel rebellious, I always go back to Proverbs 31. Verse 30 says “Charm is deceptive and beauty disappears, but a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.” The mere satisfaction that I’m feeling now is not compared to the blessings God has for me. That verse reminds me to stay on my path to virtue, because a woman who honors the Lord should be praised.
