“Kearney for Kaitlyn” was a school-wide fundraising event where students were asked to dress-up for the day and make a donation for freshman Kaitlyn Bernhardt, who is battling cancer. During a pep rally, Freshman Student Council President Katie O’Dea presented a check to Kaitlyn for $2,000 dollars.
“The determination and persistence you have demonstrated over these last few months has been nothing short of spectacular,” said O’Dea at the pep rally, according to the school. “Your actions have taught all of us here today that no obstacle is too mighty to conquer through faith and with support from loved ones.”
