Msgr. Jamie Gigantiello, Vicar for Development, presents a check for $27,000 to Father Patrick Burns, pastor of Blessed Sacrament parish, Jackson Heights, and his Annual Support Appeal team, which consists of Sister Jane Ann Scanlon, Sister Lizbeth Pimental, Sister Yaneth Mendez, Sister Oneida Franco, Ramona Diaz, Lucy Eckardt, Teresa Gonzalez, Helen Melidones, Marlene Paucar, Norma Santiago and Robert Soto. The check represents the amount the parish went over goal in receipts for the diocese’s 2011 Annual Catholic Appeal.  If all pledges are completed, they could receive additional funds exceeding $60,000. The funds received made possible repairs to the convent roof.
