Dear Editor: I beg to differ with George Weigel’s column (Resisting the Demagogue, March 12) that the Obama administration’s fecklessness has caused the dangerous world we live in.

It has been opined by many, and I agree, that it was Mr. Bush’s fecklessness in invading Iraq that has been the catalyst for the mayhem in the Middle East and therefore the world. It has not only caused massive loss of lives and destruction of cities, but has also displaced and caused the exodus of many innocent people.

The “mission” was not accomplished and its failure has reverberated throughout the world. Less we forget, Obama inherited an already dangerous world and an economy on a downward spiral.

That Donald Trump is not fit to be president is a given.
