Immaculate Conception School

‘The Best Little School’ in the Heart of Astoria

Located in the heart of Astoria, Immaculate Conception School serves families with children from toddlers to teens and reflects the diversity of the surrounding community. The school’s mission is to provide every child with a safe and nurturing environment that facilitates a love of learning as well as a love for God, others and self.

Immaculate Conception’s Early Childhood Program begins with Just the Two of Us, for toddlers 18 to 36 months and their caregivers; it’s available two mornings each week for 90 minutes to introduce these youngsters to school.

Then there is nursery for 3 year olds, followed by UPK’s PreK for All program for 4 year olds. After that they’re ready for the big time – kindergarten!
In addition to religion, English language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, students from kindergarten through eighth grade have instruction in art, computer, gym and music. This year, Spanish language instruction has also been introduced for kindergarten through eighth grade.

Children who struggle academically and qualify are supported by a SETSS teacher and Title I services. There are special supplementary programs, such as Performing Arts, Dancing Classrooms and the Latin and Greek Roots Challenge – to develop the students’ creativity, vocabulary and social skills.

To further support parents, the school offers before school, after school, and summer programs.

Immaculate Conception School has so much to offer. Visit the website at www.icsastoria.org or call 718-728-1969 to learn more and schedule a tour of the best little school in the heart of Astoria.
