The Gaelic Society at St. Saviour H.S., Park Slope, conducted a “Socktober” sock collection drive. The high school partnered with St. Bernard’s Catholic Academy, Mill Basin. The two schools pooled their collections, donating over 1,000 pairs of socks to McFadden Brothers American Legion No. 1380’s Ladies Auxiliary. They will distribute the socks to hospitalized and homeless veterans. The children’s socks were donated to CHIPS.
