On Good Friday, the Way of the Cross was reenacted with a street procession in East New York, ending with a dramatic presentation at St. Rita’s Church. The event was part of the parish’s celebration of the 100th anniversary of its founding.
Sunset Park

Park Slope
The parishes of Holy Family-St Thomas Aquinas, Holy Name of Jesus, Our Lady of Czestochowa, St. John the Evangelist-St. Rocco in Park Slope and Windsor Terrace prayerfully conducted their annual Way of the Cross through the streets of the neighborhoods on Good Friday. Mill Basin
Msgr. Jamie Gigantiello, pastor of St. Bernard’s parish, Mill Basin, and Deacon Frank D’Accordo conduct Good Friday services at the church. The afternoon liturgy recalled the Passion and death of Jesus and included veneration of the cross as well as reception of Communion.[hr]
