Girl Scout Troop 4121 from Glendale has three new Gold Scouts: Kristen O’Sullivan, Victoria Santos and Rachael Malken.
The three parishioners from Sacred Heart, Glendale, received the highest and most prestigious award that young women can earn in Girl Scouting. In order to qualify, a scout must design and complete an 80-hour take-action project that will have a great impact on their community.
O’Sullivan and Santos are seniors at Forest Hills H.S. Their project was working with the elderly, disadvantaged and homebound in their community.
Malken is a senior at LaGuardia H.S. Malken’s service project was The Teen Community Connection. She planned, created and scheduled musical variety shows with teen vocal and instrumental performers to entertain at local senior centers.
