This year’s Bishop’s Christmas Luncheon was held in loving memory of Susan Rohan, left, who passed away in September. It was her inspiration that brought this luncheon to fruition in 2006. Because of her vision and the work of all those involved, the Bishop’s Christmas Luncheon has become an annual tradition in the Diocese of Brooklyn. The proceeds provide scholarships to children wanting to attend Catholic schools but because of their circumstances would not be able to otherwise. With matching funds from the Childrens’ Scholarship Fund, this year’s event brought in over $800,000 for scholarships! Above, Bishop DiMarzio thanks the Rohan family.
