Members of the speech team at Fontbonne Hall Academy, Bay Ridge, placed ninth overall at the Stanford University Invitational Tournament early this year.

Over 200 schools and 2,000 students from around the country competed in the tournament. Jillian Corozzo won the category of Dramatic Interpretation. She received a half scholarship to the Stanford National Speech and Debate Institute for her victory.

Gabrielle Buenerd was a semi-finalist in Oratorical Interpretation. Jade Gallo and Emily LoCascio placed fifth in Duo Interpretation.

Mikayla Delorenzo and Gabrielle Buenerd placed ninth in Duo Interpretation.
